Day 1
Muscat – Jebel Akhdar
Begin your journey with a private city tour of Muscat. Start with a visit to the awe-inspiring Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest in the world, home to what was once the world’s largest handwoven carpet, listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
Continue to the Old Town district, where you’ll stop for photos at Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial residence of the Sultan. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the palace promenade to view the historic Jalali and Mirani forts, which guard the harbor from the cliffs.
Next, explore the vibrant Muttrah Souq, the city’s iconic “Eastern bazaar,” where you’ll have free time to shop for souvenirs, including Oman’s legendary “liquid gold” — pure frankincense. The market is located along the charming Corniche, Muscat’s historic seafront.
Your tour continues with a visit to the magnificent Royal Opera House — Oman’s leading cultural venue. The building seamlessly blends traditional Omani architecture with contemporary design and features a spectacular interior adorned with handcrafted decorative details. (Open daily from 08:30 to 17:30, except Fridays.)
In the afternoon, depart for Oman’s legendary “Green Mountains” — Jebel Akhdar. En route, stop at the world-famous Amouage Perfume Factory, producers of some of the most luxurious fragrances in the world. Founded by His Highness Sayyid Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi at the command of Sultan Qaboos, the factory was created to produce uniquely Omani perfumes reserved as gifts for the world’s most distinguished guests. Amouage is crafted using rare ingredients native to Oman — from the frankincense of Dhofar to roses that bloom high in the Jebel Akhdar mountains.
Before ascending the mountains, visit the oasis village of Birkat Al Mouz, home to ancient ruins, a UNESCO-listed falaj irrigation system, and the restored Bayt al Ridaydah Fort.
Ascend the dramatic mountain road to the highlands of Jebel Akhdar, where cooler air, terraced fields, and breathtaking views await.
Check-in at your luxury resort in the mountains.
Overnight in a premium mountain retreat – recommended: Alila Jabal Akhdar / Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar 5*.
Day 2
Day 2
“The Green Mountains”
In the morning, enjoy a guided exploration of the remarkable Jebel Akhdar region and the Saiq Plateau — a high-altitude sanctuary known for its cool climate, terraced farms, and ancient mountain villages. Visit the famous Diana’s Point, named after Princess Diana who once visited these mountains and admired their majestic beauty.
Discover traditional settlements where life has changed little over the centuries. Locals still grow fruits, vegetables, and the celebrated Damask roses, used to produce the region’s iconic rose water. Take a scenic walk through the oasis of Wadi Bani Habib, where old stone houses cling to the slopes and shaded paths weave through the date palms.
In the afternoon, enjoy leisure time at your luxury mountain resort. Choose from a variety of experiences:
– Take a short guided trekking route with light via ferrata elements,
– Unwind with a treatment at the world-class spa,
– Or simply relax by the infinity pool, taking in the dramatic canyon views.

Day 3
Day 3
Jebel Akhdar – Nizwa – Wahiba Sands Desert
In the morning, descend from the highlands and travel to Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman. Begin your visit with the impressive Nizwa Fort and its adjoining museum, followed by a walk through the historic souq, one of the oldest in the country. Nizwa has long been celebrated as the silver capital of Oman, with most of the nation’s handcrafted silver produced by skilled local artisans.
You’ll also make a stop at the famous Falaj Daris, part of Oman’s ancient irrigation system. Many of these traditional falaj channels are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites for their historical and engineering significance.
From Nizwa, continue your journey into the heart of the Wahiba Sands Desert, known for its spectacular and ever-changing dunes — with colors that shift from deep black to golden honey and even white as you move through the landscape, all the way to the Indian Ocean coast.
Arrive at your desert camp and check in. In the evening, gather around the campfire under a star-filled sky, and take in the silence and serenity of the desert — an experience that’s both humbling and unforgettable.
Overnight at a luxury camp – recommended: Desert Nights Resort.
Day 4
Day 4
Wahiba Sands – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wadi Tiwi / Wadi Shab – Muscat
In the early morning, take the opportunity to climb a dune and watch the sunrise over the desert, or enjoy a camel ride around the camp — a memorable way to bid farewell to the golden sands of Wahiba.
After breakfast, depart for the stunning Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s largest and most picturesque wadis. Nestled between the desert and rocky mountains, the oasis features clear turquoise pools framed by gleaming white cliffs — an inviting spot for a swim in the cool, emerald waters.
Next, head toward the coastal city of Sur, famed for its traditional dhow-building shipyards, where wooden boats have been handcrafted for generations.
From Sur, continue your journey back to Muscat along the scenic coastal road that winds beside the shimmering waters of the Gulf of Oman.
En route, enjoy photo stops at the breathtaking oases of Wadi Tiwi and Wadi Shab, where lush date palms, traditional plantations, and dramatic canyons surround pools of emerald freshwater — a serene and unforgettable landscape.
Also visit the striking Bimmah Sinkhole, a 30-meter-deep karst formation filled with crystal-clear, slightly salty seawater. Later, stop at the white-sand beaches of Fins, where you can take a final dip in the Indian Ocean.
