Afterwards, proceed to the market at Nizwa, where there is ample opportunity to buy souvenirs and silver products, and to witness the famous Friday animal auction (on Friday’s morning only). Day 3
Day 3
Nizwa – Bahla – Jabreen – Wahiba Sands
After breakfast you will drive to Jabrin with en-route stopping in Bahla village - the centre of pottery manufacturing and famous for its greatest fortress in Oman. The first fort built on this site was during the Nabhani period (830), and the second during the reign of Imam Nasser bin Murshid Al Ya'arubi (1624). The castle we see now is the result of development and renovation during the reign of Imam Azan bin Qais Al-Bu Saidi (1868). The unusual shape, ornate towers and impressive high wall, in addition to its cultural value, qualified the Castle of Bahla to be included by UNESCO on its list of World Heritage and Culture in 1988. Later arrive at Jabrin and visit the fort. Situated in the town of Jabrin in Willayat Bahala, the fort displays a remarkable blend of defensive architecture and sophisticated embellishment.

Hereafter, you will proceed to the great desert of Oman – Wahiba Sands. Rolling sand dunes, varying from deep red to a rich honey colour, many of which are 100km long and tower up to 100 meters high, stretch as far as the eye can see. You will enjoy an adventure dune bashing and then arrive at desert camp and accommodate.
Day 4
Day 4
Wahiba – Wadi Bani Khalid – Sur – Quriyat – Muscat
In the morning you will visit the oasis of Wadi Bani Khalid, which is well known for its huge basins of deep water. White rocks frame the oasis and lakes of turquoise water invite you to ‘take a dip’. Enjoy your time at the oasis and later proceed to Sur, where you will have a short orientation tour of the town and visit the famous Dhow Factory. Hereafter, you will proceed to Muscat via the coastal road from Sur. You will stop at the Wadi Tiwi oasis. Streams from the mountains flow into sparkling ponds and tiny waterfalls are alive with fish and plant life. A wide variety of native plants thrive, including tall grasses and rushes, wild flowers and the ubiquitous pink Oleander. Near to Wadi Tiwi there is another beautiful valley - Wadi Shaab. A large expanse of water at the entrance happily prevents any vehicular access to the wadi and it retains its peaceful and awe-inspiring character.
Then you will proceed along the azure sea to the unique Bimah Sinkhole. It is 30m in depth and its base filled with sea water. Soon you will arrive at the fishing village Quriyat. Archaeological discoveries suggest that the first settlers arrived in Qurayat before the emergence of Islam in Oman. Many of its inhabitants retain traditional customs, and pursue ancient crafts such as metalwork, saddle-making, boat-building, camel-rearing and repairing firearms. Hereafter, you will arrive in Muscat and check in at the hotel
